Hello everyone, my name is Kennedy and I am doing this to try and help myself, my husband, and my two dogs recover from a devastating tragedy that happened yesterday. We were involved in the flash floods in Redding that took place on December 21, 2025. Our house was completely underwater. We have homeowners insurance, but we do not have flood insurance, so we have no idea what's gonna happen. Our homeowners insurance denied our claim because the policy does not cover damage due to flood water or surface water. This was created to help fund the rebuild since we will be doing this all out of pocket. We have lived in this home since 2017 and have never experienced a major flooding disaster like this, and we are at a complete loss of what to do. We have lost 10 years' worth of stuff we have collected and earned and while I am thankful that we all got out safely we are in for a long road to any sort of recovery.
