My name is Kennedi Chambers, and I am a third year Biology/Pre-Med Major & Chemistry Minor student at North Carolina A&T State University with aspirations of becoming a pediatrician. Demonstrating strong leadership and commitment to my community, I currently serve as Co-founder and Vice President of Melanin in Medicine, a campus based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Black and Brown students pursuing healthcare professions.
My academic excellence and community involvement have been recognized through my Dean's List acceptance for my amazing grades in rigorious classes and my selection as a Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary Scholar and North Carolina (NC) Next Scholar.
This upcoming Fall semester, I have been selected to participate in an international medical internship with VAW Global Outreach Medical in Panama. This experience will provide valuable clinical exposure in critical areas including Patient Intake, Vital Signs Assessment, Physician Shadowing, and Pharmacy operations; all essential components for medical school admission requirements.
I am currently seeking to raise funds to help cover the cost of this life changing internship opportunity. Your support will not only help me gain the clinical experience necessary for medical school but will also enable me to serve underserved communities abroad while pursuing my dream of becoming a pediatrician.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping me take this important step toward my future in medicine. Thank you for considering supporting my journey!
