Help Keng's Family Reunite with Grandfather

My name is Keng. I am the third of seven children born to Thai and Chee. My parents came to the USA in 1989 as refugees from Thailand.

I want to be able to provide my parents and siblings a chance to visit our only surviving grandfather left in this world. He is now in his 90s and has been sick for over a year. For 36 years, my parents have never been able to fly back to see their family in the country of Laos. From my father's side, both grandparents passed from the repercussions of the Vietnam War, so I never had the chance to meet them. I had the privilege to meet my grandparents from my mother's side once in the USA, together when I was 15 years old. My grandfather would visit again alone a few years later.

Needless to say, I never had enough time to get to know my grandparents well enough, and I regret that I was never able to say goodbye to my grandmother when she passed in 2019. In 2024, my grandfather started getting really sick. Our uncles from Laos were ready to accept that his time was almost due, but he kept strong because he really wants to see his daughter, my mother, and his son-in-law, my father, one last time before he passes.

I hope to be able to fundraise the money for my family to be able to see our grandfather as a trip to Laos is very expensive, and having 7 children means affordability is unthinkable. I hope that we can gain the love from the kind souls of the world to be able to grant us this wish.
