Help Kendra Through Chemo and Recovery

Donation protected
Kendra is an amazing person who has impacted every person lucky enough to have met her. She was dealt a terrible hand recently. Even after the diagnosis of stage 3c ovarian cancer she has kept an upbeat and positive attitude. Even after major surgery that removed her ovaries, tubes, uterus, cervix, gallbladder, and intestinal omentum; she has been unwaveringly optimistic.

Thank you to everyone who donated to the first Go Fund Me, set up by Roze (Kendra's niece). It has helped so much in keeping us afloat while she is unable to work. Unfortunately, those initial funds are depleted. I (Cody) am able to help keep us up to date on our living expenses for now, but not long enough to last until she is able to work again, which will most likely not be until early 2026. If you have donated already, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. That money has let us both focus on more important things.

If this is the first time you are hearing about Kendra's diagnosis/circumstance and have the ability to do so, please consider donating to help us focus on getting her through chemo and recovered enough to go back to work. She is itching to work again, so as soon as she can last more than a few hours without getting completely drained she will be right back to it.

Below is an update from her about all of this.

"Good Morning everyone! I know it's been a while since I have posted an update. So here goes.
I was absolutely not prepared for what chemo does to a person. My "treatments" are every 3 weeks, so I figured, I'd get one on Thursday and feel kind of crappy that weekend, then go about my "normal" life until next session.
I could not have been more wrong. Chemo leaves you zapped of all energy. I'm talking, winded going to the bathroom, having to sit down once you've reached the kitchen, where you eat a peach over the sink (super ripe and delicious thank you 185th Produce) because you are too weak to cut it up. Answering text messages, let alone a phone call, takes so much effort. Even trying to rest is impossible, the nerve pain going up and down my whole body intermittently, makes it all impossible. I have sores developing on my skin, and soon they will be in my mouth.
I am still laughing about it. But I am also breaking here at the halfway point. I don't feel optimism about being "half done". I feel terrified and deeply scared that I have 3 more that are only getting harder. First one had me down for a week. Second one was over a week. This last one, I'm still so incredibly tired and scatterbrained. I wonder if it will ever go back to "normal".
As you all know, my job stopped, not from getting sick, but because the place closed down. They were working with my extreme limited schedule. In fact, they were a huge source of comfort when they told me not to worry about work at all, something that would have previously been next to impossible for me to allow myself to do. I applied for unemployment and would be approved if not for one thing.
I can't look for work. I can't promise when I will have a good day. I can't prove to a new place that I am a worthy person when I am so impossibly sick. So I was denied.
Now I am looking into disability. That can take a very long time to get approved. So many of you were so generous to donate to my gofundme, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Alas, my niece closed the original one, so we will needing to make a new one. The funds helped a lot, but it wasn't enough to get me through chemo and the unknowing of when I can go back to work."

We appreciate all the well wishes and help that have come our way so far. It's overwhelming how much people are willing to do to help out. Please don't feel bad if you can't swing it now. Things are rough out there for everyone and we don't want you putting yourself in a detrimental position.

Thank you all again,
Kendra and Cody
