Over the last 18 months, I have been rebuilding my life after escaping an abusive ex. That journey included calling the police, getting a restraining order, and going through the legal process while trying to stay safe and keep moving forward. On top of that, I have been dealing with serious medical injuries, including a broken finger and a broken foot in 2025, which led to losing my job and the career I had worked hard for. I was also in treatment from November through April because of ongoing medical issues and was unable to work during that time. I started a new job in April, but after that ended, I had to begin again and wait weeks to get into training for new work.

Right now, I am facing one of the hardest stretches yet. Both of my feet are currently broken, I do not have a car, and public transportation is not an option, so I have had to rely on Uber and Lyft just to get where I need to go. I am working through job training, but I am only being paid at a reduced training rate through the end of September. At the same time, I am facing eviction and urgently need help covering my September rent and legal fees by Friday, 9/18.
