Hi, my name is Kendra, I’m 28 years old and I’m going to UCSD to become a therapist. This is my final year at UCSD before completing my bachelors. Getting my bachelors degree has been my dream because I’ve strived to be financially independent. Being a therapist is the only career I can see for myself as I am an expert when it comes to emotions. I have worked incredibly hard to get here coming from Iowa all the way to San Diego for school.
I’m asking for $6000 to help pay the difference that isn’t covered for rent, books, and living expenses I need to make it through the remaining 10 months of school. This means so much to me it will be a gift that keeps giving as I work in the mental health field.
I grew up in severe poverty with my family. I want to succeed for my mom. She’s my motivation. I moved out here by myself and worked hard through community college and overcame challenges to get into this amazing top 10 university and I am SO CLOSE to completing this part of the journey.
Thank you so much for your support, i am deeply grateful for any amount you can contribute.
