My dear friend Kendra was diagnosed with advanced stage esophageal cancer in June of 2021. She is a 35 year old mother of two young children (3 and 5 years old), and an incredibly strong, brave human. She has continued to work as a registered nurse in the pediatric cardio-thoracic ICU at the University of Michigan's Mott Children's Hospital while receiving chemotherapy amongst other treatments over the past year and a half plus. She has now had numerous unsuccessful treatments and her cancer has spread to her liver as well as other areas of her body. She's now out of formal treatment options and is looking into trials as well as other alternative therapies, all of which can be extremely costly. In the past month, she has also come to a point where she's been unable to work so with the medical bills and living costs amassing I'm asking for help for my amazing friend. She is the epitome of strength, optimism and perseverance, and is now in need of help after helping many, many others throughout her nursing career.
