Kendra Davis has worked for Highland Park ISD for 16 years, spending the last several years as a member of the special education team at MIS/HPMS. Kendra is so dedicated and committed to her students and is an asset to her team.
As so many experienced a difficult week with power outages and water issues accompanying the storm that hit Texas last week, Kendra experienced a double whammy. Kendra quietly stayed at home without power for 4 days when a pipe in her bathroom burst on Thursday. She quickly found herself in ankle deep water. The damage is extensive, and assistance is sought in an effort to help offset the unexpected expense she is now facing. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover the damages. Kendra is such a positive person, but this has certainly been a challenging experience. She returns to work today (Monday), providing instruction to unique learners in her special education classroom, keeping her mind focused on the students and not the many tasks awaiting her at home. Any amount will help as she navigates this road of home repair.
