My name is Whitney, and I have had the pleasure of knowing Ken and Ann Guthrie for more than five years. Ken and I work together at a local Hospice, where he serves as a chaplain and is also the Pastor of Mandeville Baptist Church in Texarkana, AR.
Ken and Ann run a Mudroom where they offer pottery classes, teaching individuals how to create and glaze their own pieces. This space is a hub for various community gatherings, including anniversaries, date nights, family reunions, office outings, church events, birthdays, and more.
On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, Ann was awakened by a noise outside and discovered that the Mudroom was engulfed in flames. With the swift assistance of their neighbors and local fire departments, they tried to contain the situation, but unfortunately, the fire completely destroyed the Mudroom along with all its contents.
Pottery has been a significant part of Ken's life, and he is resolute in his desire to rebuild. With a strong commitment to continue teaching and sharing valuable life skills through pottery. Would you consider contributing to the reconstruction of the Mudroom and help make a difference in the lives of many?
