My name is Ken. I was a chef and worked 7 days a week unless I had my 2 kids for the weekend. Well, I was visiting them and was rushed to the hospital. Come to find out, I had a spine infection, and while I was given the antibiotics, I was sent to another hospital. While on several narcotics, I was hallucinating. One night, I took a fall, cracked my skull, and fractured 2 vertebrae. Long story short, I am now in a wheelchair and can only walk about 200 feet with the help of a walker.

I have been in rehab for about 2 months now, and it looks like this is how I will stay. After many days in ICU to cure the infection and now rehabbing my back and working to get back to as close to normal as possible, this money would help pay my roommate back for rent for me not being able to pay and for all the utility bills that I could not make. And for him to find a new roommate. It would also help me start over and find a new apartment that is ADA compliant. I have never asked for help in any way, but I am unable to work. so anything will help.
