Help Ken Kincaid's family through a difficult time

Donation protected
Dedicated family man, Ken Kincaid, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Now, after a months-long fight, his diagnosis has turned terminal. Ken's wife and two children have now shifted their focus from fighting this illness to providing high-quality palliative care and making the most of the limited time they have together.

Ken has always made his family the number one priority in his life. His love and respect for Terry, his wife of 44 years, is so obvious in the proud way he talks about her and simple acts like picking her wildflowers on his walks. When his children were young, he showed up for them. Ken and Terry were a fixture at their son Kenny's football games, Ken undeniably the loudest cheerleader in the stands. He often chaperoned his daughter Stephanie's youth group trips, making sure she and her friends were safe while they volunteered in various capacities. Now that they are grown, Ken still cheers them along and looks out for their safety. He shares a special bond with his niece, Jamie, offering the same care and guidance as his own children. After the passing of his mother, Ken and Terry opened their home for his blind sister to live with them, as well as several others over the years. No questions, family first.

Ken is a rock not just to his own family, but to so many people in his life. A mentor and friend, many people call him dad because of the genuine care and support he has shown. Ken puts effort into the quality of all his friendships, which are numerous, taking time to make each one special and unique.

Ken has always lived in the moment. An avid fisherman, a kayaker, and an all-around lover of the outdoors, he has led an active and full life. He finds joy and excitement in the small things, like fish tacos on the beach or a tree full of apples, and inspires others to do the same. It is easy to pass hours with Ken, listening to his countless stories, and he, eager to hear yours.

Terry has dedicated herself to getting Ken through this difficult time as comfortably and lovingly as possible. Despite sleep-deprived nights, stress, and sadness, Terry would go to the end of the earth to let him taste his favorite cinnamon roll one last time or see that friend he has been missing. She is so unselfish in all the little ways she tries to bring him peace every day, and to make this unimaginably difficult time one of love and joy, rather than sorrow and despair.

Please donate to help the Kincaid family focus on spending their remaining time with this wonderful man, rather than the mounting medical costs that come with this devastating illness. Donations will help ensure that Terry is not left with the accumulating costs of co-pays, uncovered medical transport, and, eventually, allow the family to celebrate Ken's life the way he deserves - with friends and family retelling the stories of this dear husband, father, and friend.
