Ken’s Courageous Story
In October of 2014 Ken was diagnosed with Stage 4 Appendix Cancer. The first doctor said that “there was nothing that could be done to save him” and he was given 6 months to live.
Ken and his family believe in miracles and the sovereign power of God. His strong faith has carried him through...
- 49 rounds of “Full Fox” chemotherapy
- The Hipec- aka. Mother of all Surgeries- which entailed removing all of his organs from the abdomen cavity and bathing them in chemotherapy
- Several radiation treatments
- Another surgery to remove cancer, which resulted in a colostomy bag
- 6 rounds of immunotherapy
- Kidney failure
- Pneumonia, which resulted in him being sustained on a ventilator for a week with only a 10% chance of survival
...and seriously so much more daily life torment- chronic pain, endless doctor visits, more tubes, blood transfusions, procedures, NOT being able to eat for 6 MONTHS (all nutrients are currently being provided through TPN, aka. Intravenously), etc..but even through most of this, he continued to go to work to support his family. He worked any chance he could.
The Need
Ken is unstoppable. God has sustained him. He has a relentless will to not only survive, but to THRIVE.
Because of Ken’s current health, since going on the ventilator, he has been unable to work. The stress of paying for his medical care is starting to take its toll...
Ken and Linda have remained so strong and independent throughout this whole journey, but it has finally gotten to the point where they need HELP WITH MEDICAL COSTS. All they want to do is help other people; it’s HUMBLING being here..
But we as Ken’s family know that there are SO MANY people out there who want to help and care for them. So we are here now saying PLEASE help.
We believe with all of our hearts the healing is coming- the Lord would not have take Ken this far- and that God will make a way for our family to give back and to help others. We would want nothing more.
Please help Ken to fight against this cancer with increased peace by donating to his battle financially. He is fighting to give GOD THE GLORY..to grow old with his faithful, beautiful wife, Linda, who provides his around-the-clock care...for his three kids and their families, including three grandkids who adore him (and one on the way).
