On January 3rd, 2022, Ken was leaving a meeting when he had a horrible slip and fall. The incident led to paralysis on his right side, surgery on his left leg with a brace, and more than eight weeks of recovery.

 

We are grateful that Medicare covered much of the first five weeks of care, but he has now been sent home to be on his own. For now, he is confined to a bed or wheelchair and cannot move without assistance. It's a lot for an 80-year-old that has always been very independent and healthy.

If that wasn't enough, Barbara recently had a mastectomy and is undergoing chemotherapy.

Because Ken has not been able to work for over a month now, his business has suffered while the financial burden of the care is overwhelming.

 

Ken has been fortunate to hear from many friends and colleagues who love and miss him; many have asked how they can help.
