Help Ken Hansen Recover and Get Home
Donation protected
Ken's daughters Kris and Kari and I (Darrell) need a few extra dollars to keep Grandpa Ken getting the care and physical therapy he needs to get strong enough to return home. Once home, he needs a little extra to cover some home health copays for a while. He broke his left femur on Nov. 1, got a total knee replacement a week later, and has been recovering ever since. He has Medicare but no secondary insurance, so very soon we have to start paying $160 copay per day to keep up his care (we think until the end of the year or so). Any contributions help. You will enjoy hearing that we get to take Ken home for Christmas Eve and Day. And where he is at Aspen Ridge East he has a huge TV to watch Utah Jazz basketball games (and old westerns and tons of History Channel shows like about Oak Island). I've been surprised how important those Jazz games are to his optimism. Plus he cannot wait to get home to his dog, Molly. Kris and Kari and I, along with Ken, thank you for your consideration.
UPDATE: 12/16/22--Sad today because Ken developed a post-op infection in his knee. It was being monitored but reached deep into his tissues so he is back in the hospital. Dang it! He has surgery again on 12/17 and we are told a more prolonged recovery than originally planned. So thank you to everyone who has donated and carried this campaign above and beyond our stated goal. If you have not donated, please still consider doing so. ---Kari and Darrell, and Kris (and Ken, of course)
