Ken and Barbie came into my life just two months ago, and they’ve already become a beloved part of our family. They both have unique personalities—Ken is endlessly curious, especially about the toilet, and Barbie is my little shadow, always ready to cuddle the moment I walk through the door. They love playing with my daughters and watching the world go by from the window, fitting right into our busy, sometimes chaotic home.

Recently, both Ken and Barbie were diagnosed with FIP, a condition that was once considered fatal for cats. Thankfully, there are now treatments available, but the process is long and expensive. They need daily oral medication for 12 weeks, prescription food to help them gain weight, and regular vet visits for weight checks and blood work to monitor their progress. The costs for medication, food, and ongoing veterinary care are adding up quickly.

Despite the challenges, I’m determined to do everything I can to give Ken and Barbie the best chance at a healthy life. They’ve brought so much joy and comfort to our family in such a short time, and I want to fight for them the way they’ve already become a part of us.
