Help Ken and Annette Cardoza

Hey friends!
Many of you have been following along on Uncle Ken's journey with cancer. He and Annette have been tackling his lymphoma with admirable strength, optimism, and a massive faith.
A few days ago he began a new and aggressive therapy called CAR-T in hopes that it would knock the mantle cell lymphoma back into remission.
Unfortunately the therapy caused a severe neurotoxicity, which in turn caused my precious Uncle Ken to have a severe altered mental status. In simple terms, his brain was unexpectedly swelling, and the prognosis unknown. Needless to say, the last few days have been massively challenging for Annette and the kids. He had been unresponsive to nearly everything. The boys have been trying their best to get to Ken from their parts of the world. While Annette and the girls have been rotating who stays with him, prays over him, sings, talks, and showers him with kisses. Meanwhile the family and all who know and love the Cardoza's have joined in hoping/praying he would come back to us.
Today a massive answer to prayer, and what we are all acknowledging as a miracle, happened. Ken "woke up". He's saying hello, calling the kids by name, and even attempting smiles.
Although we are all aware that the journey ahead will be challenging, exhausting, emotional, we are ready to face it with boldness and faith.
I write today to answer the question, "What can we do?". The family first ask for your prayers. We are a family that believes in the power of prayer and that miracles happen. We saw one today. Secondly, if you feel inclined to donate any amount of money we would be appreciative. Between the medical bills and Annette not working so she can be with Ken, the debt is daunting. The amount raised through GoFundMe will contribute to paying down the debts incurred from this horrendous ordeal.
I have been fortunate to be Ken's niece, to experience his love and constant unselfishness. I watch how he and Annette have dedicated their lives to loving and serving all those around them. I am profoundly grateful to have another day with him.
With love,
Corrie
