My name is Ke’Mya A. Trotter, and I am a Biology major at Clark Atlanta University. I am stepping out in faith and asking for support during an unexpected and urgent situation that now threatens my ability to remain enrolled for the Spring semester.
At the end of the Fall semester, I left campus believing I had a remaining balance that needed to be addressed. On January 2, 2026, I received confirmation that my Fall tuition and remaining balance had been paid in full. When I checked my student account portal, it reflected the same information. There was no Fall balance listed, only the Spring semester balance of 6,500 dollars.
On January 8, 2026, I made a 250 dollar payment toward my Spring balance. Later that afternoon, I contacted Student Accounts and was told that my Fall tuition was fully paid. The hold on my account was removed, and I was informed that I was cleared to register for classes.
Later that same day, while speaking with Student Accounts again, I was instructed to refresh my account portal. As I refreshed the page, I watched my balance change in real time. I was then informed that I now had a remaining Fall balance of 1,585.60 dollars, despite previously being told my account was clear.
Because of this unexpected balance, I was told that if the 1,585.60 dollars is not paid, I will be unable to move into campus housing and my Spring classes will be dropped by January 13th. I have been informed that no additional financial aid is available at this time.
This situation has left me stressed and distraught, placing an emotional and financial burden on both my family and me. Still, I am choosing to trust God even when the path forward is uncertain. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding” Proverbs 3:5.
I have done everything within my power to remain enrolled, and now I am relying on God’s provision. I believe He works through people who are willing to help in moments like this. “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:19.
Due to the urgency of this matter, if any funds are able to be sent directly via Chime, Zelle, or Apple Pay under my number 4146299526, it would be deeply appreciated. GoFundMe deposits can take additional time to reach my account, and this situation is extremely time sensitive. Any support, whether giving, sharing, or praying, is deeply appreciated. Every act of kindness brings me closer to continuing my education and fulfilling the purpose God has placed on my life.
Thank you for standing with me in faith during this critical time.
