For at least 4 years now, I have been taking care of an abandoned neighborhood cat. Over this time, he has become so much more than just a stray that showed up in my backyard. He is my companion, my friend and taking care of him has given me so much comfort and joy while I try to deal with my own health problems.

But for more than two weeks now, he has been very sick. He barely eats anything, he has lost a lot of weight, and he cries out in pain. It hurts so much to watch him suffer like this, and I want nothing more than to save him.

The hardest part is that I cannot afford to help him right now. I have been going through a really tough time myself. I am dealing with a serious blood clot, and because of my health issues, I am also unemployed. Dealing with the physical pain and the stress of having no job has been very overwhelming, and I just don't have the money to take him to a vet.

I am asking for help because I unfortunately cannot do this alone. The money from this campaign will go directly toward immediate medical tests to find out why he stopped eating and lost weight, and to pay for his treatment and medicine.
