Hi everyone! I'm Kelso, and my little family and I have found ourselves in a rough situation just in time for the holidays.

A Little About Us

My partner, Matt, and I have been together for 9 years. Over those years, we've added a couple fur babies to our family. Our cat, Brae, has been with us almost as long as Matt and I have been together. Our dog, Harley joined the family a couple years ago. Over the last few years, we have been extremely lucky that we were able to get by on only Matt's salary. My disabilities have increasingly made it difficult for me to bring in a consistent second income. Money has been tight, but we've managed to get by. Unfortunately, that has recently changed.

Why We Need Your Help

Matt recently lost his job at one of the worst possible times... just in time for the holiday season. We currently have no reliable income, and the sporadic gig work we've taken on barely keeps us and the pets fed. Matt's job search has been incredibly challenging since many companies tend to hold off on hiring new employees until the new year.

We are working as hard as we can to figure out how to survive until Matt finds another job. However, we have bills and rent due soon. We are struggling to afford basic necessities to take care of ourselves and our pets. We lost our health insurance when Matt lost his job, and we do not know how we will be able to afford my doctors' appointments and the medications that I need.

Asking for help isn't easy, especially when so many people are struggling right now, but we've realized we have to ask in order to avoid a potential eviction and to keep the utilities running. Even the smallest donations help us immensely, and we deeply appreciate any help anyone can give. Things are hard right now, but I know we can get through it with a little help.
