Hello and thank you for visiting my page!

I am honored to be accepted into the 2025 cohort of Healing Politics, a nonpartisan campaign school that empowers nurses to run for elected office. This July, I will join fellow nurse leaders to learn how to manage a political campaign and run for office—with the ultimate goal of bringing healthcare expertise into policymaking.

Our first challenge in this program is raising funds for tuition, travel, and accommodations—an exercise designed to help us get comfortable asking for donations on behalf of our future campaigns.

Advocacy has been at the heart of my career. In my community, I actively support the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. I serve on the legislative task force for the Commission for Nurse Reimbursement, fighting to change reimbursement models that impact staffing and contribute to America’s nursing shortage. As a committed member of the Florida Nurses Association, I have traveled to Tallahassee to meet with state representatives, advocating for legislation to improve conditions for patients and healthcare workers.

For a democracy to truly represent the people, it must include voices from all sectors. Nursing is the largest workforce in America, yet nurses remain severely underrepresented in politics. Let's change that.
