Every mother plans for her children’s future. I’m fighting for the chance to be in it.
Hello friends, my name is Kelsie. I am an extremely proud mom and bonus mom to my 7-year-old son and 17-year-old stepson. They are my entire world, along with my amazing husband. Fighting every single day to be here with them—to watch them grow, build families of their own, and live full lives—is what fuels me to keep going.
Thank you for being here, for taking the time to read my story, and for following my journey. I have been fighting cancer for three years, and while I have not given up, this road has become increasingly difficult.
My Cancer Journey
In April 2023, I was diagnosed with Stage 3B Triple Positive Inflammatory Breast Cancer, an aggressive and rare form of the disease. I underwent chemotherapy from May through August 2023, followed by a single mastectomy in January 2024. At that time, the results were hopeful—clear margins and no residual cancer.
Unfortunately, in January 2025, rising tumor markers revealed progression. A PET scan confirmed the cancer had spread to lymph nodes near my collarbone, advancing my diagnosis to Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
Updates & Progression
August 2025 Update:
The cancer spread further into my lungs, liver, and even my eyes. A biopsy confirmed it is the same aggressive HER2+++ cancer I’ve been fighting from the beginning. I restarted chemotherapy in September 2025, but severe complications followed:
• Severe lung inflammation, leaving me dependent on oxygen 24/7
• A dangerously high heart rate (120–150 bpm)
• Hospitalization due to these complications
October 2025 Update:
After two rounds of chemotherapy, with a third scheduled for October 27th, a brain MRI confirmed six lesions throughout my brain. Doctors recommended 14 rounds of whole-brain radiation. A PET scan also showed progression in my liver, spine, and pelvis.
January 2026 Update:
Chemotherapy had been paused since November due to a decline in heart function, but has since resumed thankfully on January 30th. During the pause, my tumor markers have rose rapidly, and I’m experiencing worsening symptoms in my lungs and bones. I am now connected with a cardio-oncologist that will closely monitor heart function going forward. The good news: my brain MRI shows the lesions are stable, and some have disappeared following radiation. Praise God. Will be getting another PET scan soon to establish an updated baseline and continue pushing forward.
February 2026 Update:
PET scan results are in, and were not what we hoped for. The cancer has now spread to:
• my right ovary
• sternum
• lymph nodes in my neck and chest
• progression in my lungs
• spots on my pancreas and adrenal glands
• widespread increase throughout my bones
This has been incredibly heavy to process—but I know who my God is. He is mighty, He is faithful, and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
WHEN THE CANCER PROGRESSES, SO DOES MY LOVE FOR LIFE!
Why I’m Asking for Help
Despite everything, I continue to fight. I am pursuing a combination of my doctors’ recommendations alongside natural therapies to support my body through this battle. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover these natural treatments, and medical deductibles and copays—especially for scans—can easily exceed $1,000 per visit.
This is where I humbly ask for your support.
Whether through donations, prayers, or sharing my story, every act of kindness means more than I can put into words. Every contribution—no matter the size—helps provide the resources I need to keep going.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with me during the most difficult chapter of my life.
With love and gratitude,
Kelsie
