My name is Lori Willuweit. I’m trying to raise money for my granddaughter and grandson-in-law. Kelsie and Jaerek are having their first baby, a little girl. The problem comes in with family history. Our family has Marfan syndrome with sub-variant Loeys-Dietz syndrome. It’s a connective tissue disorder. In our immediate family, my husband, Kelsie’s grandfather, had four aneurysm surgeries. She had two uncles die from an aneurysm, and an aunt that died in childbirth because of an aneurysm that was unknown at the time. Mother and baby both died because of this. Because of this, Kelsie, at the age of 15, had her first aneurysm surgery. Her doctors want her to have the baby in Omaha, Nebraska because of the technology and the specialists available. We do not have them available in our area here in the Black Hills. She will have a planned C-section to prevent stress on the mother and baby both during delivery. This is to prevent any possible aneurysm. They want Kelsie to spend the last three weeks of her pregnancy in Omaha, which is eight hours from home. I don’t want her there by herself, so I wanna be there with her. This way, her husband can continue to work and keep their health insurance active. We are looking for help to pay for a room, hopefully with a kitchen, so we can cook our own meals to offset the expenses of spending three weeks away from home, and also to help offset some of the medical expenses that insurance doesn’t cover.
