On 9/2/2025 my sister, Kelsey, experienced a freak accident that turned into a nightmare. She had recently purchased one of those TikTok “Harry Potter wands” that are supposed to light up for fun. But instead of being a bit of magic, it exploded in her hand.

The explosion shattered four of her fingers, caused her to lose the top of one finger, and left her with injuries so severe she was taken by ambulance on a 3-hour ride to the nearest hospital equipped to handle trauma of this kind. She is now facing multiple surgeries, a long recovery, and an uncertain future for the full use of her hand.

We are devastated by what she’s going through. She will need ongoing medical care, physical therapy, and support during her healing process. The costs are already overwhelming, and we want her to be able to focus on healing instead of worrying about medical bills, lost work, and recovery expenses.
