Help Kelsey Bring HER WAY to Life

Donation protected
Hi friends,

I’m Kelsey Glasser—sommelier, wine educator, and owner of Portland’s Arden restaurant. But before all of that, I was an actor and a storyteller. I trained at NYU’s Tisch School, moved to LA, and spent years chasing a career on screen. As life would have it, I found myself drawn deeper into the world of hospitality—eventually becoming a sommelier, opening Arden, and building a platform called Raise a Glass to make wine more fun, approachable, and inclusive.

In 2023, I launched a podcast called Her Way, highlighting the women changing the wine industry. The response was beyond anything I expected—and now, we are bringing Her Way to life as a documentary-style television series!

What Is Her Way?

Her Way is a TV series that brings you into the vineyards, cellars, and personal stories of the women behind the wine—winemakers, growers, chefs, sommeliers, and visionaries from up and down the West Coast. Each episode tells the story of an iconic wine region through the lens of the women who make it.

It’s about wine, yes—but it’s also about creativity, resilience, quiet strength, and power that doesn’t always look like we expect it to. These are the stories you don’t read on the back of a bottle. And they deserve to be told.

Season One is Underway!

We just wrapped filming our first two episodes in Napa and Sonoma, where we sat down with some of the most iconic women in wine—Cathy Corison, Maya Dalla Valle, Carissa Mondavi, and many more. It was powerful, emotional, and completely inspiring.

The footage is stunning. The stories are even better. And now we’re headed into the next phase: filming four more episodes across Oregon and Washington, all before harvest kicks off in the fall.

Why We Need Your Help

We’re producing this series independently—no studio, no network, just an all-female crew and a big, ambitious vision.

Normally, a documentary series like this would cost at least $200,000 per episode. We’re doing it for $20,000 an episode, which is a tiny fraction of the industry standard.

We’re proud to be working in partnership with regional supporters like Visit Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley Vintners, Visit Walla Walla, and others. But those contributions only go so far. So we’re fundraising to make up the difference. Your donations go directly toward:

  • Paying our incredibly talented (and all-female!) film crew
  • Gear rentals, transportation, meals, insurance, and post-production
  • Lodging—one of the biggest costs of filming in wine country

We’ve raised enough to fund the first three episodes. But we need your help to finish the season.

Help Us Finish What We Started

Her Way is a love letter to wine—but more importantly, to the women changing the landscape of it. These stories deserve to be captured and shared, and with your support, we’ll be able to finish the job.

If you believe in the power of storytelling, in elevating women’s voices, and in creating something beautiful and lasting—we’d be so grateful for your support. Whether you can give $5 or $5,000, I’m beyond grateful.

Thank you for being part of this.
– Kelsey
