Help Give Sadie A Second Chance
Donation protected
We freed Sadie girl from the South LA Animal Shelter on April 18th. She was crying and so shut down in her kennel; this beautiful girl who came in as a stray had no hope left.
Her incredible new mom, Rilynn, saw her video on TikTok and right away sprung into action. She drove 15 hours, overnight, from Oregon to Los Angeles to save our girl- we are so incredibly thankful for her.
Although Sadie was so happy to be free, Rilynn noticed pretty quickly that something was off. Sadie’s breathing was labored, she was struggling.
Rilynn rushed her to the emergency vet, where she stayed overnight on oxygen. The baby started to improve, so she was sent home the next morning with strong antibiotics and hope.
Within a few days she was finally becoming herself. Wagging her tail, playing fetch, turning into a totally goofy and happy dog. Three days after her antibiotics were done, however, she started to decline again.
Her new mom has her next to a humidifier, in the warmest and comfiest blankets- but without further testing there’s no way to know why the fluid in her lungs isn’t clearing. These dogs can be so sick coming out of these shelters with 250+ other dogs in unsanitary conditions. It’s so unfair, and we just want Sadie to be her healthiest and happiest self.
Please consider donating to her care, as this is a huge expensive her mom was not expecting. Rilynn was given an estimate for the next round of care and testing to be between $7,000-$8,000. Every little bit helps- yes, even $5. We CANNOT do this work without you guys. I am so thankful for the love you’ve all sent so far.
But now- it’s time to get our girl healthy.
Thank you, we love you all!!!
