James is Terminal and Kelsey needs a Wheelchair

Hello, my name is Kelsey!

This is me and my partner james.

I've been chronically ill for over 10 years and my health seems to be deteriorating to the point I can't leave the house without the need of help. For the past 10 years I've barely lived. My whole 20s was spent in bed, in pain, only dreaming of the life I was missing out on. I've been diagnosed with M.E and Fibromyalgia and I don't seem to be getting any better. This isn't just about a wheelchair but gaining some semblance of a life back and actually being able to leave the house. I've not been anywhere for over 5 years, I want to be able to go places and see things.

I'd like to be able to purchase a wheelchair and a power add on. I was originally just looking at getting a wheelchair and not the power assist but my partner had cancer (brain tumor) and is classed as terminal. He had surgery to remove it and the surgery caused his left side to no longer work the same, then he had chemotherapy and radiotherapy, hence the need for the power add on as he won't be able to help push me and I'm too weak and in pain to completely push myself.

We're in a waiting game. Every 6 months MRIs to see if the cancer is back yet, it's exhausting and debilitating. We want to be able to go out places and do things while we still can!

Here is the wheelchair and power assist I'm looking at getting. I'd need an active chair with a lot of padding due to pain and discomfort that's super lightweight. I'm look at an RGK chair.
