Help Kels with Medical Bills

Kelsey Jones, who attended NorthMac and resides in Girard, was unexpectedly admitted into the hospital ICU on 11/13/22. She was very sick, she stayed at St. John’s until she was transferred Chicago University Medical 11/19. She was in the ICU there until 11/29, where she was placed in a step down unit. She was there for a day and went back to the ICU on the 30th.

Through all of those things Kelsey has had her kidneys stop working & her liver function also indicate failure. He heart had an infection in the lining, fluid in her lungs, now also a stomach ulcer, and suffered damage to her toes due to lack of oxygen

She will need a couple of months after she gets out of the ICU, then the step down unit to receive intense inpatient therapy to regain muscles and get her back to a position she can function at home. Dialysis will be every other day.

I will help her as much as I can but I am sure the bills are going to be something that’s going to be very difficult to cover all of them. I’m currently taking turns with my mother in being present everyday to advocate for her until she is in the clear and can advocate for herself. That being said I am not getting paid for my time off.
