Help Kelly's Family Amid Cancer Battle
Donation protected
My name is Kelly Hutchens. My husband of 20 years was diagnosed with terminal stage 4 esophageal cancer in October of 2024. Anthony was a hard working man. He worked up until the day he had his first chemo treatment in December. He has been fighting the good fight, but the cancer is winning. He is now on hospice care.
I am a mother of 2 beautiful daughters and a son who has cerebral palsy and seizures. He is in a wheelchair and is g tube fed. He requires around the clock care. I don't know how I am going to be able to pay our bills and take care of my children without his income. Unfortunately, my income will only cover a third of my monthly bills. I take care of our son full-time, so I am not able to get a full-time job. Our daughters help out as much as possible, but they have dreams of college as well.
Our oldest daughter, Adrianna, is in her first year of college, and shares an apartment off campus. She was devastated to hear that her dad had cancer. She wanted to be by his side, and would come home on days when she had no classes or work. She is now on summer break and has cut back her work hours so she can come home a few days a week. A portion of the funds will go towards her rent and college costs, allowing her to be home to spend precious time with her dad.
My husband Anthony has been a carpenter for the last 19 years and has always taken care of us. He enjoyed camping trips, quad riding, making memories during vacations, and supporting his daughter during her cheer competitions. He has volunteered and helped with "Rooms of Hope" many times and has always helped those in need, such as donating from his paycheck to fellow co-workers when they were sick or injured. He was a good friend, a loving husband and an amazing father.
Donations will help us cope with loss of income, as well as paying medical bills. Any amount would be appreciated, as well as sharing our story.
Update:
On May 23rd Anthony passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He is no longer in pain. We are learning to live this new life without him everyday. We miss him so much. We are grateful for everyone who has reached out and showered us with love. Your text messages and phone calls got us through our hard days. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the donations and shares. Please always remember Anthony’s
Beautiful smile like we do ❤️
