Hi, my name is Kennedy Walter, and I’m creating this GoFundMe for my mom, Kelly Smith, the strongest, most selfless woman I know. She’s an incredible mom, partner, friend, and the kind of person who’s always there for everyone else.

Just a few weeks ago, our lives changed in an instant when my mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. The news came out of nowhere. Instead of marrying her fiancé, Tim, this October and enjoying the holidays with our family, she’s now facing months of treatments, procedures, and recovery.

Mom is ready to fight with everything she has, but the financial burden is overwhelming. Medical bills, travel for treatments, and everyday expenses are piling up. She worries about money when all we want her to focus on is getting well.
