Hi friends, family and anyone taking the time to read this.

The holidays are supposed to bring cheer and well being to all. Unfortunately, Scott and I got some bad news for ours. After being admitted to the hospital for severe abdominal pain at the beginning of December, I was soon diagnosed with liver failure/hepatitis and acute kidney failure.

I’ve been in the hospital since and under the care of liver specialists. Although things are slightly looking up, in no way am I out of the woods. As they attempt to get me onto a liver transplant list, I’m under 24 hour care with multiple tests, procedures and medications.

Although we are fortunate enough to have health insurance, I am obviously unable to work at this time, and know that it will be near impossible to overcome such an expensive diagnosis in order to recover.

For this reason, we’ve decided to reach out for any assistance possible to help us get through this tough time.
