On Tuesday, April 19th, our mom, Kelly Booth, was at home when a fire broke out in her house. She was able to get out of the house, however she suffered severe internal injuries from smoke and heat inhalation. She has been in the ICU since last Tuesday night, and only came off of a respirator this afternoon. While today provided the most positive progress in her recovery to date, the fact is that there is still a long road ahead. Mom will be in the hospital for some time, and medical bills have already started to mount. When she is finally able to leave the hospital, the next step of finding a new home, and replacing the majority of her belongings awaits her. She would be really upset with us if she knew that we were making this page, but the fact is that sometimes life knocks you down, and you need a hand getting back up. Please consider giving our mom a hand, anything you can spare is much appreciated.
