Kelly is one of my best friends and an incredibly devoted mother to her four children. Her life changed in an instant when she became one of the innocent bystanders shot during the Cane Bay Publix shooting. While trying to get her children to safety, Kelly was shot three times. Despite her own critical injuries, her first instinct was protecting her children. She was able to get all four of them safely out of the store and to another location before finally stopping to seek medical care for herself. Kelly is now hospitalized and has already undergone surgery on her arm and leg, with additional surgeries and a long recovery still ahead. The physical and emotional trauma from this tragedy has been overwhelming for Kelly and her family.

As a single mother and the sole provider for her children, Kelly is unable to work while she heals. At the same time, medical bills and everyday living expenses continue to grow. The funds raised through this fundraiser will help cover her medical care, household expenses, and provide stability for her children during this incredibly difficult time.
