Help Kelly Rebuild After Devastating Fire and Severe Burns

On March 19, 2024, Kelly Schwartz’s life was forever changed. A tragic fire destroyed his home, leaving him with 70% third-degree burns and unimaginable loss. Kelly was life-flighted to the Irvine Medical Burn Center, where he endured nine surgeries, seven weeks in intensive care, and months of grueling physical therapy. Now confined to bed and rebuilding his life from scratch, Kelly needs our help to heal and start anew.

Kelly’s home burned down to its structure with him inside, leaving him without anything he owned, including his house, car, clothes, and essentials. The fire caused significant physical and emotional trauma—severe scarring, PTSD, depression, and anxiety—all while battling through an extended recovery process.

Since October 31, Kelly has also achieved a significant milestone—successfully completing detox and staying clean from opiates, a testament to his resilience. Yet, with no home, no clothes, no phone, and mounting medical bills and debt, Kelly is financially devastated. He's currently staying with relatives and working toward rebuilding his life, one step at a time.
