Help Kelly O'Kane Fight End Stage Liver Disease

Hello, my name is Shelby, and I've created this fundraiser for my father, Terence Kelly O'Kane. In 2022, my father's health began to decline rapidly, and we had no clue what was happening. He was on vacation in Colorado when it had reached its worst point; upon returning home, he was immediately admitted to Bayfront Hospital. That was when we were finally told what was happening; he was diagnosed with End-Stage Non-Alcoholic Hepatic Liver Cirrhosis. This disease affects him physically and mentally; his low platelet count prevents blood clotting, intense fluid retention, extreme weight loss, and constant extreme abdominal pain. His doctor has given him a year of life expectancy, two if we're lucky. A liver transplant is the only way he can return to a normal life which comes with a long waiting list and a high cost. His condition makes him unable to work for the foreseeable future. He has kept working to maintain his medical benefits, but his condition is worsening, and he will have to stop working in a month or so. Some procedures cost several hundred dollars even with medical benefits, and the medical bills keep coming. His biggest fear is leaving his wife and children with thousands of dollars in medical bills. Seeing my father suffer due to this devastating and life-threatening illness is heartbreaking beyond words. So, we are reaching out on his behalf for support. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference.
