Help Kelly Keller Battle Cancer and Medical Costs

In August 2024, our Dad & Papa, Kelly Keller, felt ill while working his two-week hitch near Mandaree, ND. He took himself to the closest hospital to be evaluated and was released. Unfortunately, upon his release, he took a bad fall. Into September, he kept experiencing sudden falls. He had follow-up doctor appointments with abnormal blood work, and a PET scan was completed. On September 25, he experienced another fall at home in Devils Lake and was taken in for evaluation. A decision was made to fly him to Bismarck, ND, to be evaluated at Sanford. He has remained hospitalized at Sanford since that flight. With all of this, we have learned that Kelly has Stage 4 cancer. So far, in his liver, lungs, and vertebrae (explains the falls). He began radiation on September 26 to help alleviate the mass in his vertebrae and hope to hold off paralysis and stop the falls.

With all this, Kelly has been forced to retire, and we are still left waiting to hear if treatment is an option. With a sudden retirement, bills, a mortgage, and climbing medical costs, an ever prideful and independent man, Kelly has agreed to allow his family to share and allow in any monetary help to reduce his burden. He and his family are grateful for the support, calls, and visits. We will update more as it becomes available to us from his medical team.
