Kelly is young women from Nicaragua whose story is a difficult as inspiring.In March 2020, just as she turned 15 years old her dream was to celebrate her birthday like any other teenager but her life changed dramatically after being diagnosed with leukemia. Instead of birthday celebrations, Kelly faced hospital stays, chemotherapy, and incredibly two years of difficult days and intensive battle Yet, through it all, she showed a strength that amazed everyone around her. Against the odds, Kelly went into remission. Beyond her illness, she has always been someone who smiles, speaks with kindness, and finds small moments of joy even when her days aren’t easy. She is calm, sensitive, and creative—she loves drawing and turning her experiences into something beautiful in her own unique way. Kelly is sweet, kind, and always thinking of others, even when she is struggling herself.
