Help Kelly Create a Cat Lounge in New Orleans

My name is Kelly Johnson-Hill. I am originally from a small town in Pennsylvania but have lived in New Orleans for the past 4 years. I have always had a passion for animals and a dream to own my own business. I have over 25 years of experience in both volunteering and fostering for animal rescue and retail.

Over the past several years, cat lounges and cafes have increased in popularity around the world, but New Orleans has been left out, until now.

I feel now is the perfect time to combine my two greatest passions and create a fun, relaxing place for both humans and cats to come together, enjoy each other's company, and help find forever homes for homeless cats.

I'm trying to raise enough funds to get this project off the ground. I'm hoping with a little bit of help from the community, I can create a safe and welcoming space for homeless cats to hang out until they find their forever home.

My plan is to find a space where I can create two separate areas. One space will be the actual cat lounge. In this space, there will be lots of things for cats and humans to do to relax and have fun. I would love to be able to create a space big enough to host private and public events like yoga, painting, and game nights.

The second part of the space will be the area for humans to buy all things cat-related. I have some really fun custom toys and merchandise in the works. There will also be mini snacks and soft drinks available for purchase to take into the lounge.

There is no contribution too small; any money raised through this campaign will go directly toward the construction and furnishing of the cat lounge. The faster I can get to my goals, the faster we are to getting homeless cats off the street.
