My name is Janet and I am setting up this account for my son, Kelly Russell. We live in the community of Moore just south of Oklahoma City OK.

Kelly is 65 years old and has been disabled for a number of years. During the past 2-1/2 years he has suffered from a condition that greatly impacts his quality of life, requiring him to use a catheter several times dailey instead of being able to empty his bladder normally. He has had numerous infections requiring medical treatment and visits to the ER.

Doctors have described this condition as spasms in his pelvic floor but have had no effective way to treat him other than with antibiotics for the infections.

About 6 months ago he was given information about a treatment for this condition by a clinic in Dallas, TX, Pelvic Rehabilitation Center. The treatment involves a series of injections given over a 2 day period, 3 injections per day, 3 consecutive weeks in a row. This treatment is offered only in a few locations, with Dallas,TX being the closest to where he lives.

Kelly applied for and was accepted for treatment as a financial hardship case, which will cover a small portion of the treatment costs. Kelly has a meager income from SSI payments and lives in a retirement community which offers rent based on his income.

He recently had his first treatment and has had a definite improvement in his condition.

In order for Kelly to continue these treatments he needs help. The costs of traveling to Dallas from OKC, gas, meals and motel rooms are quickly using up what little credit he has.
