Heartbreaking. The only word I can think of to express the situation of my childhood friend Kelly Gaynor-Copper, suffering with advanced stage Parkinson's disease. Kelly is a retired school teacher, mother, grandmother, and loyal friend to many.
I have been visiting with her off and on as she fights the battle of her life, completely bedridden and in excruciating pain since mid-August when her kidneys began to fail and a dangerous blood clot wavered through her body. Her oldest son Dana has been by her side 24/7 and her primary care-taker since being released from short term nursing home care in September. Kaiser has gravely let her down! Her insurance doesn't cover much of what they need to take care of her, and it's been ROUGH! They're not covering essentials like medications, in-home nursing care, and diapers. She asked that I let friends and family know why she has not been active on social media in months, and that she is struggling, asking for prayer for relief from the pain and decline.
I am asking if you would kindly consider donating to help offset the astronomical bills that are accumulating. Dana is not able to work while being her full time care-taker and handling the day to day household demands. Any amount large or small will be a blessing to Kelly, Dana, and their family.
Thank you so much to those of you who have already donated, we are blown away by your generosity and kindness.
