On July 11th my nephew 11 year old Derek was hit by a pickup truck while riding his mini bike in Battle Creek. He lied in the road lifeless with no pulse or heartbeat for 19 gut wrenching minutes. Paramedics finally got a pulse and loaded him in the ambulance and raced to the hospital. Shortly after being transferred to Kalamazoo Kellie heard what no other mother wants to hear. She might never be able to take her baby boy home. Derek suffered a horrific skull fracture and head injury that has a high chance of taking his life. Kellie i2s staying at his bed side every second she can praying she takes her baby home. She needs help with food, basic bills etc while up there. Every single penny is a blessing and appreciated more than you can imagine.
