Hi, my name is Kelley, and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do — asking for help. I’ve always prided myself on being strong, independent, and the one who shows up for others. But right now, I’ve run out of options and I can’t do this alone.
I’m facing an eviction and need to secure a new apartment as soon as possible — ideally this week — so that my pups and I don’t lose stability. With no income right now and no family support, I don’t have the resources to cover the upfront costs of moving. Between first and last month’s rent, security deposit, moving expenses, a storage unit, and basic living costs while I get back on my feet, it’s more than I can manage on my own.
My goal is to raise $10,000 to cover:
• First, last, and security deposit for a safe apartment ($6,000–$7,000 depending on rent)
• Moving truck, supplies, and storage unit fees ($1,000+)
• Utilities and setup fees ($300–$500)
• Basic survival cushion for food, gas, and essentials while I secure steady income ($1,500–$2,000)
I know $10,000 is a big number, but this would give me and my pups the chance to finally breathe, settle somewhere stable, and rebuild without constant fear of being displaced.
Anything helps — truly. Even the smallest donation makes a difference, and if you can’t give, simply sharing this link means the world to me.
It’s humbling and uncomfortable to ask for help like this, but I have no other choice right now. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping me take this step toward stability.
Kelley
