Help Kelele have eye-surgery: cataract removal

Donation protected
Introducing a most beautiful, sweet and loving Alexandrine Parrot named Kelele. Kelele was a famous performer, the "STAR" in a special parrot show run by Parrots in Paradise.
He did amazing tricks like sorting puzzles, putting hoops on the spike, playing basketball with his other intelligent friends. He was very good at putting the ball in the hoop. Kelele fed himself with a spoon, skateboarded down a ramp, and he happily dressed up to be an army private and even ran an obstacle course; he paraded as a firefighter saving his friends for the finale.
Kelele belongs to Dail and Mark Malins - owners of the beautiful "Parrots in Paradise," a wonderful place to visit in the Glasshouse Mountains area (Qld). Parrots in Paradise is a not-for-profit organisation that cares for, rehomes and loves parrots of all types, from the smallest Parrotlet to the biggest Macaw.

When kelele started having difficulty with his tricks, they rushed him to the bird vet, who said he had cataracts in both eyes. Still, they could operate, allowing him to have perfect eyesight, he would again be able to have an excellent quality of life since he was only 20 years old, and Alexandrines can live 30-40 years.
It was a sad situation for Kelele because he loved doing his tricks and loved to perform. Unfortunately, it has taken us time to find the right vet as initially the first bird vet said they would do it - but kept putting it off. So we were forced to look elsewhere and now have a wonderful vet who will operate as soon as we have raised enough money.
There is also something else special about Kelele: When he was still a featherless bub, they found out that he was a "stargazer" having something similar to autism in humans, but Kelele was so smart and so easy to train, so he quickly became the star of the Show, we desire to give him back his sight and the quality of life he deserves as he has given so many hundreds of people laughter and happiness through the shows.
So please help us fund kelele's eye surgery; we will be very grateful, and so will Kelele.
