Support Kelci’s Artist and Writers Residency in France!

Kelci Makana Verdon, a dedicated visual artist based in Brooklyn, has been awarded a spot at the prestigious Château d'Orquevaux Artist Residency in France. This internationally recognized program offers artists uninterrupted time, space, and critical engagement in a historic château nestled in the French countryside.

This residency represents a significant step in Kelci’s artistic career, offering a rare opportunity to focus deeply on her photographic practice in a community of accomplished artists and writers. However, she must submit a deposit of $1,700 within one week (due June 5th, 2025), and a total payment of about $5,000 after grant deductions to confirm her place for March of 2026.

Like many residencies, participation comes with financial obligations that are not always feasible for working artists. Your support will directly fund Kelci’s initial deposit, ensuring she can take full advantage of this incredibly transformative opportunity.
