Help Kelcey Train Bowie: A Lifesaving Service Dog

My name is kelcey Henrikson and in 2020 I began having seizure like episodes. At the time I was living in Florida along with working at Disney and the episodes were getting progressively worse. Many hospital trips, heart monitors, days off work, EKGs, epilepsy ward stays, lots more testing and more than three years later the only answer we have is that I have some sort of seizure condition. My seizures have led to me struggling to maintain a job, go to school, and some days even leave my house. With the help of my amazing supportive family over those three years we were able to save up some money to get a puppy from a breeder who breeds border collies specifically for service dog work. This is where Bowie come in!

Bowie is an 11 week border collie who is going to be my service dog and hopefully with the help of all of you lovely people I will be able to reach my goal in raising money for training fees. After researching trainers in Ohio, we quickly found there was only a few trainers who train service dogs and even less that train seizure alert dogs. The trainer we hope to work with is asking for 8,600 dollars and will work with me from now until the day bowie retires. Bowie will allow me to leave my house more, aid me if I have an episode by applying deep pressure therapy or getting help, alert me to upcoming episodes, and many more NEEDED tasks.
