Hi friends! 

On March 15th, 2021 I'll be getting top surgery with Dr. Bluebond-Langner. I am incredibly grateful, as I truly did not think I would be able to get gender-affirming surgery until I was much older. I am undoubtedly thankful that this surgery is getting partially covered by my insurance and acknowledge that this is a huge privilege. (Shout out to my incredible wife’s job for said insurance) 

That said, since the start of the pandemic, I have taken a step back from doing hair because of my chronic illness (my hope is to return once vaccinated). I spent some time saving up money from a part-time retail job but ultimately decided to leave due to the management being ableist. Unfortunately, this has left me with no income during this time, ultimately making it a bit difficult to afford supplies for aftercare and recovery. 

I feel vulnerable asking for help, especially since I have gotten so much support from clients and friends at the beginning of this pandemic. People were so incredibly kind when my mom passed away, as well. I didn't want to admit that this is something that I need help with, but any help is sincerely appreciated. I know that we're all struggling and that things are far from easy. Please know that absolutely every bit counts, and even if you aren't able to donate, I appreciate your love, support, and encouragement.  To be fair, I owe so many of you free haircuts when all of this is over.
