Help Keith Rivers Fight Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer

For those who don't know me, I'm a 64-year-old male, with a wife of 18 years (who works full-time) and a 15-year-old daughter. I'm also a veteran with an honorable discharge from the US Army, served during the Desert Storm era (1990-1991), but I didn't serve more than two years, so I don't qualify for VA benefits.

I unfortunately have had some bad news in July 2024. I ended up in the hospital and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, stage 4. The official diagnosis is Adenocarcinoma of the pancreatic head (July 2024), with secondary malignant neoplasm involving the liver. The cancer is too advanced for surgery, so I've started a Chemotherapy regimen, called Folfirinox. It includes medicines: Oxaliplatin, Leucovorin, Irinotecan, Fluorouracil (bolus and pump), and Pegfilgrastrin (injection to grow white blood cells). My first chemo session was August 21, 2024, chemo infusion is 4 to 6 hours, then I have a chemo pump that I carry with me for two days, so three days total. The treatment plan is every two weeks. The side effects are too numerous for me to list here. My doctor did say that I would probably be on the chemotherapy regimen for the rest of my life. With this information so far, I'm keeping a positive attitude, praying daily, trying to stay as healthy as possible, and with God's healing power, I'm going to beat this cancer so that I can see my daughter not only graduate from high school and college, but be able to walk her down the aisle when she gets married. Your hope and prayers are greatly appreciated.

The reason for this request for donations, is that with this treatment regimen, I will only be able to work approximately part-time, and I don't know how we are going to pay the out-of-pocket costs of everything from food, mortgage, bills, and medicines. Your generosity is going to help my family not only with daily necessities, but also assist in counseling and support.
