For over 20 years, I worked hard as an electrician, providing for my family and building a stable life. I never imagined that my health would take everything I worked for and force me to start over.

I was diagnosed with a serious autoimmune disease that caused my lungs to fail, leaving me oxygen-dependent. Eventually, my condition worsened to the point where I had no choice but to undergo a lung transplant to survive. Since the transplant, my journey has been far from easy. I have been in and out of the hospital multiple times, including a recent 21-day hospital stay due to my body rejecting the transplanted lung.

Because of my condition and ongoing medical complications, I can no longer work in the profession I dedicated my life to. Losing my career after 20 years has been devastating, not only financially but emotionally. I am currently living off a Social Security check, which barely covers basic expenses.

Despite everything, I am determined not to give up. I am trying to start a new chapter in my life by becoming a licensed life insurance agent—work I can do while managing my health. This opportunity would allow me to support myself and my kids with dignity and independence. However, I am stuck at the starting line. I need funds to purchase required licenses and leads, and without them, I cannot generate income.
