Help Keith Overcome Cancer and Medical Challenges

2025 has become an extension of tough times and a new uncommon cancer diagnosis for my son, Keith; Upper Tract Urothelial Carcinoma (UTUC), Stage 1, High Grade aggressive. As some of you may already know, Keith has been struggling with bladder cancer with frequent visits to the doctor for painful procedures since 2019, and recently, his doctor wants to start chemotherapy treatment for his bladder which is not covered by insurance. A live bacteria of tuberculosis (BCG) is the alternative treatment plan. However, with Keith’s significant allergies and compromised immune system, that could pose a serious health risk.

Unfortunately, this new and unexpected UTUC discovery during recent surgery for kidney tumor biopsy and ablation has put a halt on any bladder treatment. In addition to the unexpected cancer diagnosis and urgent surgery needed to remove Keith’s left kidney and urothelial tube, an abdominal aorta aneurysm was also discovered and new specialist appointments are needed.

Keith has an amazing team of doctors that continue to work quickly to discover and understand the cause of Keith’s cancer through numerous CAT scans, MRI’s, and procedures while new specialists are being added.

Keith is a loving and devoted son, husband, father, and a CHERISHED grandfather. Keith’s family also includes his loving and supportive sister, where he is also an uncle and a granduncle. He adds joy to our family with his loving nature, musical talent, incredible Japanese Peanut butter chicken dish, and tech/engineering support that family, friends, and co-workers enjoy alike, and an unyielding support for his family and friends. He is well known for helping others, in times of need, without hesitation. One thing that stands out with Keith is his belief in giving back to the community and team work. Unfortunately, now Keith finds himself fighting life altering illness and his quality of life.

I have started this GoFundMe in an effort to assist my son, Keith and my daughter-in-law, Lisa, with some of the cost of Keith’s medical bills and loss of income on this uncertain journey they face together.
