I’d like to introduce this handsome young man in the picture. This is my son, first born, Keith. This is him enjoying sometime on our campsite. Simple thing, but glory for him. He doesn’t need bells or whistles, give him some woods, warm campfire with friends/family around and he’s happy!

But this young man of 27 was just diagnosed with stage 2 cancer. The great news is this is highly treatable and has a high success rate thank goodness! However, time is vital as the cancer has already begun to spread and everything needs to happen quickly!

He is looking at surgery to remove the origin of the cancer followed by chemo to combat the spread to his lymph nodes. All of this is very expensive as I’m sure anyone would know. He is currently without insurance and his company does not offer any disability benefits to assist any of the time off that will be required for surgery, recovery, and/or intermittent loss of work due to effects of Chemo. The available financial assistance will only go so far. 

Keith has always been one to do things the right way. Believing if you work hard, live within your means, be thoughtful and helpful to/for others, you can make your way. And he will! He is that resilient!!!! The financial weight is heavy to carry when he needs his strength and efforts focused on kicking cancer in the @ss!
