After eight spine surgeries, I have become bed bound and am unable to stand or walk. My current hospital bed does not lower enough for me to safely transfer to my wheelchair using a sliding board, and it also prevents me from resting my feet on the floor while seated at the edge of the bed. This has made it extremely difficult to participate in physical therapy, which is crucial for my recovery. Unfortunately, I only have a limited number of therapy days left to make progress, and without the right equipment, my chances of regaining mobility are slipping away.
I am raising funds to purchase a hospital bed that can lower to seven or nine inches from the floor, as well as an alternating air pressure mattress. These will not only make transfers safer and more manageable, but also provide the comfort and support I need during this challenging time. Having the right bed will allow me to continue my therapy and give me the best chance at improving my quality of life.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support will make a real difference in my journey toward recovery.
